About Yamba Landcare

The Yamba Landcare Group is a community based, non profit organisation supporting NSW Parks and Wildlife and the Clarence Valley Council in the protection of the natural resources within the coastal township of Yamba.

Working in conjunction with Clarence Landcare, the Yamba Landcare Group’s main role is to manage on ground projects in relation to the control and removal of noxious weeds, native tree planting, rubbish removal and to monitor the welfare of the environment in conjunction with other community groups.

Become a Volunteer

In October 2007 the Yamba Landcare Group commenced a drive for new volunteers. Since that time our  membership has grown significantly, to the point where we are conducting working bees, almost on a weekly basis. There are several teams working within our Group comprising weekend and midweek  Volunteers, and those who prefer to work in a beach environment or in the Clarence Estuary Nature Reserve. The work can be adapted to suit the individual and is no more strenuous than a few hours in your own garden.
